Children's Dentistry
At Pennant Hills Dental Care we pride ourselves on providing your child with a solid foundation in oral health with a view to providing them with a lifetime of excellent oral health habits. We also understand the particular needs of child dentistry, ensuring quick and safe consultations with the least discomfort. We aim to provide your child with a positive dental experience to ensure visits to the dentist are always a pleasure.
Most importantly, we will assess early development problems and check the growth and development of teeth and jaws. If your child has crooked teeth and/or a misaligned bite, there are a variety of treatments aimed at helping straighten the teeth, including braces and retainers.
As children grow faster at different ages, it is imperative that we time their treatments for the ages when the child is mature enough to cooperate with treatment, and also when the bone is growing most rapidly. Though the optimum age for commencing treatment depends upon the specific problem that the dentist needs to correct, it is believed that the best age for evaluation is around 7 years.
